1998
Humble Beginnings
Nelgates was founded in a small workshop in Tamil Nadu, with 12 skilled weavers and a vision to create the finest handloom fabrics in South India.
2004
State Recognition
Received the State Best Textile Award, recognizing our commitment to preserving traditional weaving techniques while introducing innovative designs.
2010
Global Expansion
Began exporting to over 30 countries, establishing Nelgates as a globally recognized name in premium textile manufacturing.
2018
Sustainable Future
Launched our Green Weave initiative, transitioning 70% of production to organic and sustainably sourced materials.
2024
New Horizons
Opened our flagship design studio and expanded to serve luxury fashion houses in Paris, Milan, and New York — cementing our position as a world-class textile partner.
